Looking for a best friend & partner in Single, straight, lbs. Most people assume I'm about years younger or so (everyone writes that). Allegedly good looking (by some - I swear!). I've yet to settle down and have never felt pressure to get married, have , or spend quality time at Home Depot (not that there's anything wrong w that). What seems to eliminate me for membership (in some manner I hoped to find a category that fit me) is that I can enjoy sex have a drive but it's not at the forefront of my mind - I'm more attracted to ideas, concepts, and creativity. I'm new to accepting acknowledging that I'm uncomfortable w the weight of expectation that sex can bring into a relationship (unresolved issues?). I'm very loyal to the people in my life. I have a quiet, inner spiritual side and appreciate those who also think there's some "higher power" out there - by whatever name or form you prefer to it. I'm a part-time musician songwriter; currently in a band that plays in and around Boston (my extrovert side). I have a graduate degree - and the student loans that go with it. I keep up with what's going on politiy but have sworn off blind allegiance to any particular party - the overall system seems so , hateful and divisive right now - or maybe it's always been that way? I threw away the television but like watching the occasional movie on - I just got sucked into the black hole of 'Breaking Bad.' I'll probably plow through all seasons before the end of Thanksgiving weekend. I'm an avid reader, which runs the gamut, from Dostoevsky to Foster Wallace - Gibson to Greene. Just finished going through Flynn's books -- yes, 'Gone Girl' is a masterpiece. is probably my favorite author (The Information, Yellow Dog, Asbo: State of England). My musical taste is fairly eclectic but in no way hi-brow: I listen to jazz as a way to relax but I have ability to remember or take of who it is I'm listening to - , M Davis? I simply don't have a . I just know I like the different moods that jazz can convey -- particularly as an accompaniment to the changing seasons in New England. I'm primarily a fan of rock alternative music: from British Invasion to MGMT and a whole lot in between. I like going out to to hear live music and see what's up w new local bands around Greater Boston. Who/what am I seeking? A free that enjoys observing and discussing the absurdities of life. A creative quirky personality - weird is ok - I like the fun kind of weird that doesn't drift over the into creepy weird (but if you are creepy weird you probably don't realize it fully. . .cue the line from Good Will Hunting: "it's not your fault!"). Although this is a platonic quest I am nonetheless seeking a women that I would find attractive/appealing (?)- so I do prefer someone in the cute range (in its myriad of variations). Height weight is preferable and non-smoker too (if you are a true "occasional" cigarette smoker that's fine w me - I just hate the smell). I appreciate unconventional/unique faces. Someone who would prefer to do something at the last minute vs make plans two weeks ahead of time (oh the pressure!) - like suddenly deciding to drive to Portland, Maine or going to a 11pm movie on a Tues night even though it's techniy a dumb idea because we have to go to work the next day.
